Montr\u00e9al, April 21, 2023<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 On the occasion of Earth Day on April 22nd, B\u00e2tirente is announcing that it will plant 35\u00a0trees this spring as part of the celebrations marking its 35th anniversary. Committed to climate protection since its founding, B\u00e2tirente will make a concrete gesture in the fight against climate change to counter urban heat islands in Montr\u00e9al.<\/p>\n

This operation will take place thanks to the expertise of Soverdi<\/a>, a B\u00e2tirente member group, whose mission these past 30 years has been to grow the urban forest to improve the population\u2019s health and quality of life.<\/p>\n

In 2020, B\u00e2tirente unveiled its ambitious climate commitment and took concrete steps toward it. We feel confident that these actions bring us closer to meeting our goals for 2025. This commitment is based on measured and achievable ambitions\u2014a challenge for our entire civilization\u2014to tackle the global warming issue.<\/p>\n

\u201cGiven the climate crisis, it is important for B\u00e2tirente to take strong action. These 35 trees for our 35 years in existence represent our desire to contribute to this fight in every way possible. These trees will attest to our ability to make a sustainable impact that ensures our members\u2019 successful retirement while helping the planet,\u201d said B\u00e2tirente CEO \u00c9ric Filion.<\/p>\n
